Trade82 product listings are designed to help international buyers understand your product and decide whether to contact your company. A useful listing should clearly explain what the product is, where it is made, what commercial terms are available, and what information can be provided to a buyer. This guide follows the current Trade82 product registration form and explains how each field should be completed. Who Can Register a Product Product registration is available to seller accounts. Before registering a product, make sure that your seller company information has been completed. The product will be connected to the seller company that owns the account. Only enter information that is accurate and that your company is authorized to use. Saving and Publishing The product registration page provides two options: Save Draft saves the product without publishing it. Publish Product changes the product status to active. A draft still requires:
- Product name
- Product category
- Detailed product overview
- Any field that you have marked as Public
A product image is not required when saving a draft. However, at least one product image is required before the product can be published. Publishing a product does not automatically guarantee that it will appear publicly. An active product is displayed on the public marketplace only when the seller company is also in verified status. After saving a product, you can return to the seller dashboard to edit, preview, publish, move the product to Preparing status, or delete it.
1. Product Images
Upload images that accurately represent the product being offered. Trade82 currently supports:
- JPG
- JPEG
- PNG
- WebP
- AVIF
HEIC and HEIF images are not currently supported. Each product image may be up to 50MB, and a product may contain up to 12 images. The first image in the list becomes the primary product image. You can change the image order before saving the listing. The image editor allows you to:
- Fit the full image inside the frame
- Fill the image frame
- Zoom in or out
- Rotate the image
- Reposition the image
- Reorder uploaded images
- Remove an image
Product images are public. Do not upload images containing confidential information, bank details, personal information, private customer information, or anything that your company is not authorized to publish. Use images of the exact product being offered. Packaging, labels, sizes, colors, and models shown in the images should match the written listing.
2. Basic Information
Product Name The product name is required. Enter the official or commonly used commercial name of the product. The current maximum length is 120 characters. A useful product name may include:
- Brand name
- Product type
- Model or collection name
- Size or capacity
- Important product variation
Do not place contact information, payment instructions, promotional symbols, or unrelated keywords in the product name. Category A product category is required. Choose the category that most accurately represents the product. The selected category is used to organize the product and help buyers find relevant listings. Do not select an unrelated category simply to receive additional exposure. Short Summary The short summary is optional and may contain up to 240 characters. Use it to explain the product in one or two clear sentences. Focus on the product type, intended use, and main commercial characteristics. When the short summary is left blank, Trade82 may use the beginning of the detailed overview as the short description. Detailed Overview The detailed overview is required and may contain up to 5,000 characters. Explain the product clearly enough for a professional buyer to understand what is being offered. Relevant information may include:
- Intended product use
- Main product characteristics
- Available variations
- Size or capacity
- Texture, format, shape, or material
- Intended retail or business channel
- Manufacturing or supply information
- Important handling information
- Available wholesale options
Use factual language. Do not include claims that your company cannot support. Tags Tags are optional. Enter relevant search terms separated by commas. Use terms that directly describe the product, category, material, use, or wholesale opportunity. Do not add unrelated brand names, competitor names, or popular keywords that do not apply to the product. Buyer Notes Buyer Notes are optional and may contain up to 1,000 characters. Use this field for additional information that would be useful to a potential buyer, such as:
- Available order conditions
- Sample information
- Target distribution channels
- Customization possibilities
- Information required before quotation
- Important product limitations
Do not include bank-account information, external payment instructions, or confidential internal information.
3. English Content
The English Content section is optional. It contains separate fields for:
- Product name in English
- Short summary in English
- Detailed overview in English
- English tags
- Buyer notes in English
Trade82 also provides a Generate English Translation button. The translation tool can generate English content from the product name, short summary, detailed overview, buyer notes, and tags entered in the original-language fields. Generated content should be reviewed before the product is saved. The seller remains responsible for confirming that the English version accurately describes the product. If English content already exists, the system may ask for confirmation before replacing it.
4. Field Visibility
Many commercial, compliance, and logistics fields include a visibility setting. The available settings are: Public The information is shown on the public product page. When a field is set to Public, a valid value must be entered before the product can be saved. Inquiry Required The information is not displayed publicly. Buyers are informed that the information is available through an inquiry. Use this setting for information that you prefer to provide after reviewing the buyer’s request. Private The field is not displayed to buyers. Under the current registration flow, values for fields set to Inquiry Required or Private are not saved as confidential buyer-facing values. Leave those fields blank and provide the relevant information later through the appropriate Trade82 communication process. The default visibility is Inquiry Required for most commercial and logistics fields. Sample availability is Public by default, so it must be selected unless its visibility setting is changed.
5. Pricing and Order Terms
Minimum Unit Price Enter the lowest unit price that applies under your normal wholesale conditions. New product listings use USD as the displayed currency. Select the appropriate price unit from the available options. When Minimum Unit Price is Public, the amount must be greater than zero. The displayed price should match the selected unit. Do not enter a carton price while selecting a single-unit price basis. If the final price depends on quantity, packaging, customization, destination, or other conditions, set the field to Inquiry Required instead of publishing a misleading price. Minimum Order Quantity Enter the minimum quantity that your company normally accepts. Select both:
- MOQ quantity
- MOQ unit
The available unit options are provided in the form. A Not Fixed option is also available. When MOQ is Public, the quantity must be greater than zero unless Not Fixed is selected. Clarify whether the MOQ applies per product, variation, color, model, package, or production run in the product description or buyer notes when necessary. Lead Time Select the expected lead time from the available options. Lead time should represent the normal period needed to prepare or produce the order. It should not be used as a guaranteed international delivery date. When Lead Time is Public, an option must be selected. Sample Availability Select the option that accurately describes whether samples are available. Sample availability is Public by default. Therefore, a selection is required unless the visibility setting is changed. Any sample price, shipping cost, preparation time, or quantity limit should be explained later through the inquiry process or in Buyer Notes. Private Label Availability Select the option that accurately describes the product’s private-label availability. Do not indicate that private-label production is available unless your company can actually provide it. Details such as separate MOQ, packaging requirements, development costs, or sample conditions can be discussed after an inquiry. Monthly Supply Capacity Enter the approximate quantity your company can normally supply in one month and select the applicable unit. When this field is Public, the quantity must be greater than zero. Enter a realistic operating estimate, not an unsupported theoretical maximum.
6. Origin and Shipping
Country of Origin Select the country where the product was manufactured or substantially produced. The default value for a new listing is South Korea. Change it when the actual country of origin is different. Country of origin should be consistent with the product label and the documents your company can provide. Shipping Origin Country Select the country from which the product will normally be dispatched. The default value is South Korea. The shipping origin may be different from the country of origin. Shipping Origin Region Enter or select the region from which the product will normally be shipped. When the shipping origin country is South Korea, the form provides a Korean city or region selector. For other countries, the region can be entered as text. Incoterms Select the Incoterms that your company can support. This field allows multiple selections. Only select terms that your company is actually prepared to quote and fulfill. The exact named place or port should be confirmed during the quotation and transaction discussion. When Incoterms are Public, at least one option must be selected. HS Code Enter the HS code applicable to the product. The current maximum length is 40 characters. Do not guess an HS code. Confirm the appropriate classification with the responsible customs or trade professional. When the field is Public, an HS code must be entered. Shelf Life Enter the product’s applicable shelf life. The current maximum length is 120 characters. Use a clear format and make sure the information matches the product label and available documentation. When the field is Public, a value must be entered. Storage Requirements Describe any relevant storage requirements, such as temperature, humidity, light exposure, or handling conditions. The current maximum length is 1,000 characters. When the field is Public, storage requirements must be entered.
7. Compliance and Documents
Seller-Provided Documents Select the documents that your company can provide to a buyer. This field is a checklist of available documents. It does not upload the actual document files during product registration. Only select documents that currently exist and can be provided when requested. When this field is Public, at least one document option must be selected. Seller-Provided Compliance Information Select the compliance statements that accurately apply to the product. Only select an option when your company has appropriate supporting information. Selecting a compliance option does not mean that Trade82 has independently verified, approved, or certified the product. When this field is Public, at least one compliance option must be selected. Ingredients or Materials Enter the relevant ingredients or materials used in the product. The current maximum length is 1,000 characters. Use accurate information from the manufacturer or official product documentation. Do not omit relevant materials or add ingredients that are not present. When this field is Public, the information must be entered.
8. Packaging and Logistics
Package Size Enter the applicable product or package size. The current maximum length is 120 characters. Use a clear unit and distinguish product capacity from carton size. When this field is Public, packaging information must be entered. Suggested U.S. Channels Select the U.S. sales channels that may be suitable for the product. This field is optional and is intended to help describe possible market positioning. Select only channels that reasonably fit the product. Information Required Before Publishing Before selecting Publish Product, confirm that:
- At least one product image has been uploaded
- The first image is suitable as the primary image
- The product name is accurate
- The correct category is selected
- The detailed overview is complete
- Every Public field contains a valid value
- The English content has been reviewed, when used
- Pricing and MOQ use the correct units
- Origin and shipping information are accurate
- Document and compliance selections can be supported
- Packaging and logistics details are consistent
- No confidential or unauthorized information is included
After Registration After the product is saved, Trade82 opens the product detail page. The seller can later:
- Preview the product
- Edit the product
- Update product information
- Save changes as a draft
- Publish the product
- Move an active product to Preparing status
- Publish it again
- Delete the product
Keep the listing current. Update it when pricing, MOQ, lead time, availability, packaging, origin, documents, or other material product information changes. A complete listing does not guarantee an inquiry or order. Its purpose is to provide buyers with accurate information so they can evaluate the product and begin a relevant business conversation.
